Recommending BRAT, an East London Michelin-Starred 🌟 Restaurant
BRAT: The atmosphere is quite relaxed; it's not one of those high-end, formal restaurants. Many office workers come here to socialize after work. However, it's a bit noisy overall... making conversation a bit challenging. 🌟Two people ordered a total of five dishes and two desserts. Oyster🦪: ⭐️⭐️⭐️Very fresh and not fishy at all, but the sauce on top is nothing special—raw consumption might be better. Langoustaines🦐: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The meat is very tender, and the prawn head is quite flavorful, but the prawn claw doesn't have much meat. Velvet crab rice🦀️: ⭐️⭐️This dish is quite average; the rice lacks crab flavor, and the crab on top has little meat, seeming more like a decoration... There's also very little crispy rice. Beef Rib 🥩: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This should be the best of the night; the meat is very tender! It feels like it's cooked to 3/4 doneness, and the portion is huge! The waiter said it's 1kg and might be too much. But we thought we could finish it; they underestimated us two girls. In the end, we had to take the rest away. 👎🏻Drawback: There's a bit too much fat, and I'd recommend choosing sirloin. Also, they didn't leave the bone for us when packing, which is a bit wasteful since there's still quite a bit of meat attached to it. Desserts🍧🍮🍰: Lemon sobert: ⭐️⭐️⭐️Delicious, served with a tangy citrus base of lemon🍋 and orange🍊 that's very refreshing and helps to cut through the richness! 👎🏻If you're not a fan of sour, be cautious. Burnt Cheesecake: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Quite tasty, with a very delicate texture, soft on the inside, and a bit runny. 👎🏻The downside is that even with the rhubarb on the side, it's too much for one person to finish alone and can be a bit rich. Additionally, we ordered two glasses of red wine and cocktails. Personally, I think there's a limited selection of cocktails, especially if you prefer sweet ones; there are hardly any options, so as a non-drinker, I found it a bit awkward that there weren't more mocktails available. 💰Average cost: £100💷 per person (including alcohol), £70-80💷 (without alcohol). #LondonMichelin #LondonRestaurant #London #EastLondon #LondonShoreditch #EastLondonFood #LondonRestaurantRecommendation #MichelinRecommendation
