Restaurant Recommendation in Bar Harbor, Maine
March is the off-season in Bar Harbor, so not many restaurants are open—but I highly recommend a seafood spot called Peekytoe Provisions! Most other places around only serve burgers 🍔, sandwiches 🥪, or tacos 🌮, but this one goes above and beyond: they serve whole fish 🐟, lobster with full, intact meat 🦞, and sides like rice or sweet potato mash (no more boring fries or regular mashed potatoes—total win!). Their oysters 🦪 might not be the biggest, but they’re brimming with juicy, fresh seawater flavor—you can taste how fresh they are with every slurp. Even the cucumber side was a surprise! It was crisp, refreshing, and had a light, subtle fragrance, tossed in a unique sauce that left a lingering, delicious aftertaste. Every bite felt thought-out, not just a throwaway side. We found it tricky to eat the whole fish with a fork, so we asked the server if they had chopsticks. She said, “Sorry, we don’t have any right now”—but before we knew it, she came back with two pairs of chopsticks for us! Such attentive service, it really made the meal feel special 👍. I can only imagine how busy this place gets during the summer peak season—if you’re visiting then, make sure to arrive early to grab a table (you won’t want to miss out)! 😂 #RestaurantRecommendation #Maine #BarHarbor #AcadiaNationalPark #DeliciousRestaurants #ImmigrantLife
