Restaurant Review near KaDeWe Berlin | Gasthaus Krombach 🍖🍴

Located near the shopping street, just a short walk from Xiaolongkan Hot Pot, this restaurant has a charming old-world tavern vibe 🏮✨. My friend and I arrived around 1-2 PM – the place felt cozy with windows open (no AC, just a nice breeze!) and a relaxing street view 🌳🏙️. 🧡 What We Tried: 1. Boiled Pork Knuckle (Eisbein) 🐷 Huge portion! Even with my big appetite (I eat more than most girls), I couldn’t finish it. Well-cooked and tender, but the flavor was a bit plain – mostly just salty. Came with yellow mustard (not my favorite 😅) and sauerkraut (which was tasty and helped cut the richness). Not recommended for solo diners unless you’re reaaally hungry. 2. Smoked Salmon 🐟 My friend said it was “okay, not outstanding.” Served with potatoes – again, very generous portion. 3. Berlin-Style Soup 🥣 A bit salty – best enjoyed with bread. Hearty and unique, made with potatoes – very filling! Might ruin your appetite for the main course though 😂 🌟 Overall Experience: Bilingual menu (German/English) 📘 Friendly English-speaking staff 🗣️👍 Good selection of beers and drinks 🍺🍷 Quiet street, nice atmosphere – great for a slow meal 🍃 Not mind-blowing for a Chinese palate, but a solid German food experience ✅ Rating: 7.8/10 Not bad at all – worth a visit if you’re curious about traditional German flavors! 💶 Price: Around €28 per person 📍 Address: Meinekestraße 4, 10719 Berlin 🌍 Nearest U-Bahn: Kurfürstendamm or Wittenbergplatz #BerlinEats #GermanFood #KaDeWeBerlin #BerlinRestaurants #TravelGermany #FoodReview #PorkKnuckle #BerlinFoodGuide
