Rhode Island Restaurants | Providence & Newport
Here are the standout spots I ate at during my Rhode Island trip—delicious finds worth sharing! 🦞🍴 🌊 The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar (Newport) Address: 1 Sayers Wharf, Newport, RI 02840 This spot lives up to all the hype—it’s so good! The manager and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, too 😊. It’s right by the harbor, so after dinner, you can step outside and watch the beautiful sunset paint the sky in warm oranges and pinks 🌅. Heads up: it might get busy and require a wait on holidays, so plan ahead if you can! If you don’t mind a hint of garlic, definitely try the seafood pasta—it was absolutely delicious, with fresh seafood and a rich, flavorful sauce that had me craving more 🤤🍝. 🍗 SOTT (Providence) Address: 333 Westminster St STE 100, Providence, RI 02903 It was a rainy night, and both raw bars we wanted to try had long lines—then we found this spot, and the hot, crispy fried chicken was pure “salvation” (who else gets that feeling when you eat something warm and tasty on a rainy day? 🤤). The chicken was incredible—juicy inside, crunchy outside—and the portion was huge, so we left totally full. 🥪 Scratch Kitchen & Catering (Newport) Address: 88 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840 The famous Corner Café nearby had a crazy long line, so we popped into this spot just a few steps away—and it was such a great find! Everything was delicious 😋. I loved the grilled cheese my friend ordered, while my friend couldn’t stop raving about the Newport steak salad I got—total “swap and both win” situation 🤣. No misses here! These are the best restaurants I tried in Rhode Island—had to share them since they were too good to keep to myself! #RestaurantRecommendations #RhodeIslandEats #RhodeIsland #USTravel #FoodLovers #InternationalStudentFoodie
