Rio de Janeiro: A Popular Internet-Famous Restaurant!🍴

Before coming to Rio, I kept seeing this restaurant, Marius Degustare, in travel guides—it’s said to be a must-visit spot for many tourists, famous for its seafood and barbecue buffet. Since I was already here, I had to check it out, so I dragged my friend and headed straight over~ 📍The location is easy to find. The entrance isn’t particularly striking, but as soon as I walked in, I was shocked by the "grand display": the ceiling is actually hung with a row of LV bags! Black, brown, patterned ones—they’re scattered overhead, and they look quite dazzling under the lights. I don’t know if they’re real or just decorations, but they’re definitely perfect for photos. I couldn’t help but lift my phone to take a few pictures as soon as I sat down📸. The price is 390 reais per person, with service charge and drinks extra. It’s not cheap, but since it’s a popular buffet, I thought "you get what you pay for" and accepted it. But to be honest, the environment and service are really impeccable—the floor is polished to a shine, the tablecloths are spotless, and the waiters are quick. As soon as I sat down, they brought warm water and the menu. When I went to the buffet counter to get food, they’d take the initiative to help carry the plates to my seat, so I didn’t have to squeeze around with heavy plates myself. That’s quite thoughtful~ Let’s talk about the food: the seafood and barbecue sections are the highlights! The grilled octopus is a must-praise—it’s super tender, and you can easily separate it with a fork. Dip it in lemon juice and take a bite; it’s chewy but not tough, and so fresh that I kept smacking my lips. Unfortunately, I was so busy eating that I forgot to take a photo. I still regret it now😤. The lobsters are good too—they’re not small, and the meat is firm, but the seasoning is a bit salty. It’s just right with bread. The barbecue section has a lot of varieties too: Picanha (rump cap), sausages, chicken wings—they’re lined up, and the chef cuts and grills them fresh. The fat drips down ,and it’s delicious wrapped in lettuce. But like the lobsters, the overall flavor is on the salty side. I don’t know if it’s because my taste has been too mild lately, or if internet-famous restaurants in Brazil just love strong seasonings. By the end, I had to chug lemon water to cut the saltiness. Although the salty taste is a small drawback, it’s still worth recommending overall—after all, you can eat your fill of seafood and barbecue in one go, the environment is "internet-famous" enough, and the service is good. If you’re traveling here and want to experience a bit of ceremony, it’s worth a visit~ #Brazil #RioDeJaneiro #Food
