Rio de Janeiro: A Popular Internet-Famous Restaurant!đ´
Before coming to Rio, I kept seeing this restaurant, Marius Degustare, in travel guidesâitâs said to be a must-visit spot for many tourists, famous for its seafood and barbecue buffet. Since I was already here, I had to check it out, so I dragged my friend and headed straight overď˝ đThe location is easy to find. The entrance isnât particularly striking, but as soon as I walked in, I was shocked by the "grand display": the ceiling is actually hung with a row of LV bags! Black, brown, patterned onesâtheyâre scattered overhead, and they look quite dazzling under the lights. I donât know if theyâre real or just decorations, but theyâre definitely perfect for photos. I couldnât help but lift my phone to take a few pictures as soon as I sat downđ¸. The price is 390 reais per person, with service charge and drinks extra. Itâs not cheap, but since itâs a popular buffet, I thought "you get what you pay for" and accepted it. But to be honest, the environment and service are really impeccableâthe floor is polished to a shine, the tablecloths are spotless, and the waiters are quick. As soon as I sat down, they brought warm water and the menu. When I went to the buffet counter to get food, theyâd take the initiative to help carry the plates to my seat, so I didnât have to squeeze around with heavy plates myself. Thatâs quite thoughtfulď˝ Letâs talk about the food: the seafood and barbecue sections are the highlights! The grilled octopus is a must-praiseâitâs super tender, and you can easily separate it with a fork. Dip it in lemon juice and take a bite; itâs chewy but not tough, and so fresh that I kept smacking my lips. Unfortunately, I was so busy eating that I forgot to take a photo. I still regret it nowđ¤. The lobsters are good tooâtheyâre not small, and the meat is firm, but the seasoning is a bit salty. Itâs just right with bread. The barbecue section has a lot of varieties too: Picanha (rump cap), sausages, chicken wingsâtheyâre lined up, and the chef cuts and grills them fresh. The fat drips down ďźand itâs delicious wrapped in lettuce. But like the lobsters, the overall flavor is on the salty side. I donât know if itâs because my taste has been too mild lately, or if internet-famous restaurants in Brazil just love strong seasonings. By the end, I had to chug lemon water to cut the saltiness. Although the salty taste is a small drawback, itâs still worth recommending overallâafter all, you can eat your fill of seafood and barbecue in one go, the environment is "internet-famous" enough, and the service is good. If youâre traveling here and want to experience a bit of ceremony, itâs worth a visitď˝ #Brazil #RioDeJaneiro #Food
