Rio de Janeiro One-Day Classic Tour 🇧🇷✨
Rio Cathedral (Catedral do Rio de Janeiro) ⛪ First stop at 9 AM. The natural lighting inside is great for photos (though my photography skills aren’t the best, so ignore my pics 😅). Tip: Always take a taxi or ride-hailing app in Brazil—walking around can make you an easy target for theft. Selarón Steps (Escadaria Selarón) 🎨 A 5-minute taxi ride from the cathedral. This colorful staircase is Instagram-famous but close to a favela, so be cautious with your belongings. Some homeless people might follow you asking for money—just ignore them. Christ the Redeemer (Corcovado Mountain) 🗿 Take a ride to Estrada do Corcovado - Santa Teresa to skip the long lines for the train or bus. Walk to the ticket booth (entry: 85 BRL, includes a minibus to the top). Honest take: The statue looks smaller in person, and the crowds are huge. Not sure how it made the New Seven Wonders list 🤔. Return tip: The ticket includes the minibus back, but for a better experience, take the scenic train down (35 BRL, ~15 min wait). Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar) 🏔️ Taxis wait near the train exit—head straight to Sugarloaf’s cable car. Skip the "fast pass" (295 BRL)—regular tickets (~120 BRL) are fine since lines are shorter than Christ the Redeemer. View review: The ocean scenery is nice, but both this and Christ the Redeemer rely heavily on the sea views—otherwise, just average. Pirate-Themed Restaurant (Marius Degustare) ☠️ After Sugarloaf, grab lunch at this famous (but overrated) spot. Food is meh (~500 BRL/person), but the decor is fun—they’ll place your country’s flag on the table 🇨🇳🇺🇸🇧🇷. Why go? It’s close to Copacabana Beach (right across the street!). Paying in cash gets you a 10% discount. Copacabana Beach 🏖️🌅 Post-meal, stroll along the super-soft sand, soak up the sun, and watch the sunset. A perfect end to your Rio day! #Rio
