Here’s a fun three-day road trip from Texas covering Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas—packed with nature, history, and quirky attractions! 🌟 Note: This itinerary is packed—so we’ve split it into two parts. This first part covers Tulsa, OK and Springfield, MO. Ideal for travelers starting from Houston, Dallas, Austin, or even the St. Louis area! I drove from Houston to Dallas on the eve of the trip and stayed overnight. Day 1️⃣: Dallas → Tulsa, Oklahoma 📍 Start in Dallas and head to Tulsa—Oklahoma’s second-largest city, packed with Route 66 history and known as the Capital of Route 66! Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza 🛣️ – Iconic Route 66 landmark. Perfect photo op! Route 66 Historical Village – Vintage cars, signs, and nostalgic Americana. Philbrook Museum of Art 🖼️ – A must-visit! Stunning art, architecture, and gardens. Great for photos! Tulsa Air and Space Museum 🚀 or the Zoo 🐯 or Aquarium 🐠 Golden Driller Statue – Quirky giant statue celebrating the oil industry. 🚗 Drive to Springfield, Missouri to wrap up the day. Day 2️⃣: Springfield, Missouri Explore Missouri’s third-largest city! Discovery Center of Springfield 🧪 – Hands-on science museum with cool urban murals nearby. Park Central Square – Vibrant downtown heart with shops and cafes. Nathanael Greene Park 🌳 – Beautiful green space with sculptures and botanical displays. Missouri State University 🎒 – Take a relaxing stroll through the campus. Fantastic Caverns 🕳️✨ – A unique experience! North America’s only ride-through cave. Book your tram tour in advance! Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield 🏞️ – A historic Civil War site with preserved ruins.
