Road Trip to Maine 🦞

Vroom vroom! 🚗 While we’re young and our legs still carry us well—we’ve gotta let our restless souls run free! Love deeply, live fully, and dare to get hurt (but never wear the “victim” hat, okay? 💪). A few friends and I hit the road for an 8+ hour drive from New York all the way to Maine—a state famous for its seafood (lobster, crab, you name it), blueberries 🫐, and lighthouses. And let me tell you—local restaurants here cook their fresh-caught seafood in the most down-home way: big, rustic pots, no fancy extra seasonings. Just pure, unadulterated ocean flavor! We ordered lobster rolls, New England clam chowder, and even whole lobsters to crack open ourselves (way more fun that way—hands-on seafood joy! 🦞). Since I’m obsessed with blueberry everything, I got blueberry waffles for breakfast, slathered with extra blueberry jam—total perfection ✌️. The classic seafood dip? A tiny container of liquid butter. Dip that fresh lobster meat in it, and wow—sweet, juicy, and so satisfying! Leaving Maine without bringing some treats back to New York would feel like losing $5 million (okay, maybe a little dramatic—but you get it!). We stuffed our bags with fresh lobsters and blueberry jam packed with real fruit bits 🤤—“take it all home” mode activated! 📍 Must-See Spots & Eats ✅ Iconic Attractions Portland Head Lighthouse: A Maine classic! Stand by this historic lighthouse and watch the waves crash against the rocks—postcard views all the way 🏴‍☠️. Acadia National Park: Book tickets online in advance! Don’t miss the mountain sunrises and coastal trails here—nature at its finest 🌲. Bar Harbor: A cozy town with great eats and cute shops—perfect for wandering after a day of exploring. ✅ Bar Harbor Food Picks Jordan’s Restaurant (80 Cottage St, Bar Harbor) Blueberry Pancakes: Fluffy, sweet, and loaded with Maine blueberries—breakfast goals 🥞. Lobster Benedict: Poached eggs, creamy hollandaise, and chunks of lobster—indulgent and delicious. Ben & Bill’s Chocolate Emporium (66 Main St, Bar Harbor) Lobster Ice Cream: A total novelty—give it a try for the “Maine experience” (salty-sweet, surprisingly tasty! 😋). Maine Blueberry Ice Cream: Rich, fruity, and packed with blueberry bits—my personal favorite. Lobster Spot (1237 Bar Harbor Rd, Trenton, ME 04605) Fresh, affordable lobster—grab a whole one or a roll, and enjoy it with a side of ocean views. #RoadTripGuide #MaineMustEat #SummerEscapePlan
