🌅 Day 1: Auckland → Three Sisters Rock → New Plymouth 🍽️ Stop in Hamilton: The Corner Cafe (dog-friendly indoors!) 📍 Three Sisters Rock: 🌊 No tide check needed—drove straight to Coastline Viewpoint for epic sunset views! 📸 Short walk from parking—stunning photo spot! 🏨 Stay: Auto Lodge (pet-friendly, basic but tasty restaurant!) ☁️ Day 2: Exploring New Plymouth (Plan B for Bad Weather) 🚶 City Highlights: Coastal Walkway 🐾 (dog-friendly!) The Wind Wand & nearby art spots Puke Ariki Museum (dogs not allowed inside) ⚠️ No dogs on the main shopping street—fines apply! 🌉 Afternoon: Te Rewa Rewa Bridge (dog-approved!) → drove further to a surfers’ lookout 🌊 ⛅ Cloudy skies scrapped our Paritutu Rock sunset plan. ⛰️ Day 3: Hiking & Night Drive to Rotorua 🥾 Mangorei Track: 5-hour return hike (no dogs allowed! 🚫🐕) Freezing summit! ☁️❄️ Waited 1 hour for clouds to clear—pack warm! 🚗 Night Drive to Rotorua: 🌫️ Foggy & dangerous—avoid winter night drives here! ✨ Reward: A sky full of stars! 🌌 ♨️ Day 4: Rotorua Relaxation → Auckland 🌿 Morning lakeside walk (no dogs) → soothing hot pools before heading home! #TravelWithDogs #NewPlymouthNZ #DogFriendlyNZ #RoadTripNZ #HikingAdventures
