Rogues in East London 🍸
Got stood up by another restaurant, saw this place with a 4.9 rating, and it’s the kind of bistro I like, so I gave them a call to try my luck for a reservation. There was only a slot available at 9:30 PM, but I decided to go, and it was totally worth it 🍽️ Average per person: around £75. The lighting and ambiance are very cozy, and the atmosphere inside is great 💗 🍊 Cured sea trout A dish with vibrant colors and delicious flavors. The pomelo and sour cream perfectly balanced the saltiness of the trout and caviar, making it very refreshing. 🥖 Potato and thyme sourdough I didn’t expect this bread to be so good with the sauce on the side! It’s fragrant and chewy; I almost wanted to order a second one to take home. 🦑 Squid, mussel, and chorizo stew with pearl barley The combination of squid, mussels, and chorizo with pearl barley is very fresh and delicious! The chorizo is particularly good, like a little stew. 🥗 Grilled grelots with piperade, basil, and smoked almonds I’m not familiar with some of the ingredients, so I ordered blindly. It turned out to be a dish mainly with onions and bell peppers, which wasn’t to my liking. 🥓 Duroc pork rib eye We waited the longest for this dish, which built up our expectations, but it felt just average, not as impressive as the previous ones. 🍰 Caramelised Bramley apples with flaky pastry Delicious! The apples just melt in your mouth, and the ice cream on the side is a perfect match. A small portion that’s both satisfying and delicious. 🥂 We randomly ordered four drinks, all of which were good. Feel free to order; there are no duds. #LondonFood #LondonBistro #London #LondonTreasureRestaurant #LondonRestaurantExploration #WhatToEatInLondon #CozyWineBar
