Roka - Nordic Bistro βββββ A very local and intimate small restaurant, the most satisfying one we've had in days, and we were lucky to find a table just by walking in. Salmon Soup (particularly fragrant! I order salmon soup at every restaurant in Finland that has it. Also ordered a raw fish platter, very Nordic and local. For the main course, we had steak and salmon risotto, both generously portioned and delicious! Recommend their special blueberry and apple sparkling wine! Delicious! (I prefer the blueberry one more. Saigon Noodle - Vietnamese Pho ββββ This small Vietnamese noodle place has an extremely high Google rating! The spring roll is especially tasty! A must-order. The main course I recommend the most is Bun Cha! Pork + dry noodles + dipping sauce, very fragrant and not greasy! The signature pho is as good as you'd expect. It gets crowded during meal times, so try to avoid the peak hours. Three signature dishes: π½ Brown Bear Stew (Bear kuksa) A small bowl, a bit salty, but the bear meat is well-stewed and flavorful, not too tough, with a texture somewhat like beef. π½ Slow-Cooked Bear Meat (King of the Forest) The texture is a bit hard, and the taste is average, similar to cold marinated beef. If you just want to try something new, the stew is a better value. π½ Willow Grouse A local white bird, a must-try! Two ways to enjoy the dish: the outer meat slices are fragrant and don't taste like poultry, but the highlight is the crushed meat wrapped in puff pastry, a combination of creamy and meaty flavors that's even better than Wellington steak. π° Average cost per person: β¬70 π Located in downtown Rovaniemi, not near Santa Claus Village #Rovaniemi #RovaniemiTravel #RovaniemiFood #FinlandTravel #RovaniemiSantaClausVillage
