Russia | Vladimir 🇷🇺
In the spring of 2024 (which felt more like the winter of 2023 😅), I took a trip outside Moscow to the city of Vladimir. Moscow → Vladimir: A day trip by train 🚆 The winter beauty of the Orthodox Church — Dormition Cathedral (Успенский собор). Perfectly located on the banks of the Klyazma River (река Клязьма), it offers wide, open views ⛪❄️ Vladimir Railway Station 🚉 — Vladimir is quite small, and one day is enough to explore. Right across from the station is a bus terminal, with shuttle buses likely available to Ryazan. From the station, walk uphill, turn left at the top, and you’ll find a straight road leading to all the main attractions — churches and museums. There’s even a McDonald’s in the city center 🍟 We encountered heavy snow ❄️, but it revealed a unique kind of beauty. Snowflakes fell on our shoulders and cedar trees, soft yet audible, and the crunch of snow underfoot made the winter silence even more profound. Occasionally, a few passersby would appear — the most beautiful accents in this quiet, snowy world. Amid the swirling snow, solemn churches, and ancient pine trees, one can’t help but feel the smallness of humanity. I regret not capturing it in photos 📸, but the beauty remains in my heart ❤️. I also found my favorite fridge magnet — making the trip truly worthwhile 🧲✨ I’d love to go back in summer someday, and next time, hopefully with my little one 👶💕 #Russia #Vladimir #CultureAndArt #RussianWinter #SeeTheWorld #BringTheWorldHome 🌍❤️
