Sacramento Kru Sushi｜Good Food, But Better Company 🍣

📍Kru Contemporary Japanese Cuisine, Sacramento Went to Kru for dinner recently with a friend. There’s some parking outside. When we arrived, the host said it’d be a 30-minute wait — but a table opened up in less than a minute… talk about luck 🫢 (Someone’s looking out for me huh?) The vibe inside is moody and intimate — really nice decor. Feels like the kind of place you’d want to save for… someone special (who tho? 😂) We weren’t super hungry, and it was a warm night, so we mostly ordered sushi. The fish was so fresh it practically melted. We also got two slightly sweet-and-sour cocktails — so refreshing I almost forgot what stress felt like lol Then my friend asked me out of nowhere: “What do you think ‘compromise’ really means?” I thought for a bit and said: It’s probably… two people finding a spot where both can stand comfortably. Not you stepping all the way back, or me bending out of shape — but both shifting a little, till it fits just right. It’s not treating each other like problems to solve, but becoming little solution buddies ✌️ That kind of connection might be rare, but I still want to believe it’s out there. — P.S. Work’s been busy lately — got some new speaking invitations coming up 🎤 Feels like leveling up in real life 😆 I’ll share more when things settle. Life recently feels like a sushi platter — lots of flavors served all at once, unexpectedly rich and delicious.
