Salt Lake City: Fun Beyond Skiing and Yellowstone! 🏔️✨
How come none of you warned me how amazing Salt Lake City is?! In summer, it’s treated as a pit stop for Yellowstone; in winter, it’s a hub for skiers. 🎿❄️ This Memorial Day, I chose Salt Lake City just to unwind—and instantly fell in love! You can see snow-capped mountains right from downtown 🏔️, the streets are wide and clean, and even the occasional unhoused individuals don’t smell (sorry, SF trauma is real!). Road trips here offer expansive views of cloud-kissed mountains—so beautiful and healing! Silver Lake felt like being in Kanas, Xinjiang—so surreal! Salt Lake City truly absorbs the essence of nature. Four days and three nights were perfect—never a dull moment! 🎠 Things to Do: 1️⃣ Downtown City Walk Attractions are concentrated and walkable: Madeleine Cathedral → State Capitol → Public Library → Washington Park Note: Temple Square is under renovation—don’t waste the trip! 2️⃣ Antelope Island See bison 🦬 without going to Yellowstone! Super close. The salt lake isn’t stinky, but the mosquitoes are insane—your windshield will be covered! 🦟🌊 3️⃣ Stansbury Salt Lake Pink sunset views—absolutely magical! 🌅 4️⃣ Liberty Park A hidden gem with lush greenery and playgrounds. Perfect for a stroll after Bar Nohm. 5️⃣ Silver Lake My personal “Little Xinjiang” in Utah—serene and stunning. 6️⃣ Albion Basin Couldn’t go—road closed! 😫 🍽️ Eats: 1️⃣ Log Haven Fine dining in the woods—romantic and gorgeous. 2️⃣ La Caille A must-visit French manor! Check my previous video for details. 3️⃣ Bar Nohm Don’t miss this—essential SLC experience! 4️⃣ Gourmandise, Delice, Eva’s Bakery Brunch & café spots I’ve reviewed before. ☕️ Coffee: Tried five shops—Cupla is my top pick! (See past posts for reviews.) 🏨 Stay: Hyatt Regency Modern and sleek—one of the few high-rises downtown. Only $200+ even during holidays. Last photo shows the room view! Kimpton More boutique and intimate compared to Regency.
