📍Salt Lake City|I Found My Dream Izakaya 🏮
Sugarhouse is full of hidden treasures 💎! After work, with some time to kill before a concert, I stopped by this newly opened izakaya. Within minutes, I knew it would become my new stomping ground 🥢❤️. Rarely do you find a place that’s great for group gatherings yet equally comfortable for solo dining—this izakaya is one of them 🧘♂️. Order and pay via QR code—perfect for introverts! The menu offers many vegan and gluten-free options 🥦🌾, even a dedicated gluten-free fryer! No surprise—it’s the most hippie town in all of Utah ✌️. Whipped Tofu with Mapo Sesame Sauce [Vegan] One of the most exciting fusion dishes I’ve tried lately! Inspired by pita bread and hummus, but here it’s served with scallion pancake 🫓. The tofu blend (silken tofu + sesame paste) is super smooth, and the homemade chili sauce has that classic Lao Gan Ma vibe 🌶️👌. Salmon Ikura Don (Sake Don) 🍣 Every bite is packed with fish roe! Incredible value for the price. Karaage Chicken Wings [Gluten-Free] Coated in potato starch and fried perfectly 🍗. Sprinkled with a special vinegar salt that had a subtle sweetness—almost like plum powder. Not my favorite seasoning, but still enjoyable. Grilled Mackerel (Shioyaki Saba) 🐟 Steamed first, then grilled—crispy outside, tender and juicy inside. Served with yuzu radish paste. Makes you want a drink 🍶! Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🅿️ Parking: Plenty of street parking Average per person: $20 💵 Koyote 📍551 W 400 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGem #GlobalFoodSquad #JapaneseIzakaya #VibeDining #MyFoodCollection #JapaneseCuisine #Utah #SaltLakeCity #FoodShare #MyFoodDiary #FoodieUSA #DrinkUp #LateNightEats #IzakayaLove
