📍Salt Lake City|The Best Bánh Mì in Utah 🥖|Oh Mai

Utah’s Top 1 Bánh Mì 🥙 If you’re visiting Salt Lake City for the first time and search for restaurants on Yelp, you might not easily find this place. But if you ask locals where the best Vietnamese restaurant is, nine out of ten will say Oh Mai 🗣️💖. I don’t usually go to Vietnamese restaurants—I prefer Chinese noodles over pho 🍜. Bánh mì-focused spots are rare, which might explain why Oh Mai holds such a special place in the hearts of sandwich-loving Americans 🥪🇺🇸. Every branch is thoughtfully decorated with a homey, artisanal vibe. Vietnamese-style conical hats 🎩 and kitchen tools fill the space, giving it almost a rustic Italian-meets-Vietnamese charm. They use grass-fed beef 🐄 and proudly claim no MSG. Their bánh mì menu is extensive, with fillings clearly listed—just pick based on your preference! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Garlic Ribeye This is their most popular flavor. The ratio of ribeye to veggies is perfect 🥩🥒. Cucumber and cilantro balance the richness of the beef, pickled daikon adds sweet tanginess, and a slice of jalapeño brings subtle heat 🌶️. Every ingredient plays its part beautifully, all tucked into a crispy baguette—way better than any American sandwich! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brisket Pho Their pho doesn’t get high ratings—some say it lacks depth, but I think it’s because people are used to MSG-heavy broths. Have you noticed most pho places taste the same? Oh Mai’s broth has a more authentic meaty flavor 🍲✨. The only downside: the overwhelming amount of green onions. As someone who doesn’t eat green onions, I was shocked! I’ve had their bánh mì countless times over the years, but this was my first time trying the pho (for this review). I’ve never seen so many green onions in a bowl of pho! 😵 📍 3425 S State St, South Salt Lake, UT 84115 #SaltLakeCity #SLCFood #SaltLakeEats #FoodieUSA #LifeInSLC #FoodDiscovery #WeekendEats #SLCFoodReview #MyFoodDiary #FoodShare #Inspiration #UtahFood #WeekendPlans #DailyFood #LunchToday
