Salt Lake City|The Pakistani Restaurant I Recommend to Everyone! 🥘

I’ve recommended this place to almost all my friends—it’s one of my absolute favorites in Salt Lake City! A couple of years ago, I was craving Xinjiang cuisine, but there wasn’t any in Salt Lake. By chance, I discovered this spot on Google Maps! Since Pakistan borders Xinjiang, many dishes share a similar vibe. Milk tea, grilled lamb skewers, pilaf, naan… As an Asian student far from home, I was almost moved to tears when I first tried it. The spices are rich, ingredients are fresh, and the cooking is authentic—even blind ordering works here! Plus, it’s affordable with huge portions! Here are our go-to dishes: 🔥 Beef Shinwari Very similar to braised beef, packed with spices in a thick sauce coating large beef chunks. Perfect with naan or rice—so satisfying! 🔥 Lamb Boti Wrap SO DELICIOUS!! A must-try! Grilled lamb skewers wrapped in naan with a tangy-sweet sauce. Each order is cut into two halves—one half could fill you up if you have a smaller appetite. 🔥 Beef Biryani Our always-order dish! Beef pilaf—absolutely amazing! It uses more spices than Xinjiang-style pilaf, blending beautifully with the beef aroma. There’s so much beef I often wonder if the owner loses money… We always take leftovers home—reheated, it’s still a fantastic meal. Ah… looking at these photos at midnight makes me hungry again. I’d kill for a warm plate of pilaf right now! 😭🍚 📍 HABIBI GRILL 3460 S Redwood Rd #5a, Salt Lake City, UT 84119 #SaltLakeCity #PakistaniCuisine #FoodRecs #ComfortFood #HiddenGem #SpiceLovers #StudentEats
