Salt Lake City|Tired of Chinese Food? Try BASTA Pasteria! 🍝

SLC friends, have you explored most of the Chinese food spots already? Let’s switch it up with something different! 😄 This restaurant is located in the Fashion Place plaza and opened just last year—a cozy, down-to-earth pasta spot. I wasn’t really into pasta back then, so I hesitated for a bit… but after trying it, I realized pasta could be this good! Prices are great too—around $20 per pasta dish, generous portions, and they serve homemade focaccia on the house 🥖 Whether you’re already a pasta lover or just curious to try, this is a perfect post-shopping meal at Fashion Place! 🍝 My Favorites: 1️⃣ Amatricina Rigatoni – Tomato-based red sauce fans, don’t miss this! The tomato flavor is perfectly balanced—not too sour or sweet. They use bacon instead of traditional guanciale, which may not be authentic, but it’s delicious 😭 2️⃣ Pappardelle Bolognese – Wide noodles with tender, slow-cooked beef—a different but equally comforting vibe. 3️⃣ Pappardelle Don Pino – Black truffle cream sauce. If you want to try white sauce, this one won’t feel heavy—the truffle balances out the richness beautifully. 4️⃣ Pistachio Pizza – A must-order! Super thin Italian-style crust with pistachio pesto and crushed pistachios on top. Pistachio lovers, go for it! 🍕🌰 📍 Address: 6157 S State St, Murray, UT 84107 #SaltLakeCityEats #SLCRestaurants #HiddenGem #PastaLove #BastaPasteria #UtahFood
