Salt Lake City|Where to Go for Friday Gatherings? 🍻 Brick & Mortar

One standout feature of bars in Utah: Their food is even better than many restaurants! And Brick & Mortar proves it once again. 🍴✨ This newly opened bar this year became the spot for my Utah foodie squad’s Friday night fun. Though it was our first time visiting, the place felt strangely familiar. Turns out, it used to be the Australian chain Camposing Coffee—unfortunately, it didn’t survive COVID… Their coffee and brunch were truly amazing. 😔☕ But back on topic— While waiting for my friends, I ordered my go-to bar drink: a French 75. The bartender did a great job—no unnecessary, flashy modifications. 🍸👌 The location is pretty hidden, so not many people might know about it yet. You can park on Broadway and walk down the alley next to Copper Onion—it’s right there! 🚗📍 The interior is cozy and inviting, with a skylight flooding the space with natural light. Unlike many dimly lit bars, this one feels open and bright. 🌞😊 Besides the dining area, there’s also a casual game zone where you can play pool with friends. 🎱 Appetizers: 🌟 Beer Battered Calamari—Absolutely mind-blowing! I’ve had calamari many times, but this was the first time I’ve had it so tender and juicy. It was so delicious that our squad—who’s eaten together countless times—ordered a second plate right after finishing the first! 🦑🔥 ⭐️ B & M Nachos Also fantastic! The cheese sauce isn’t the cheap kind you usually get with nachos—theirs is blended with jalapeños and other ingredients, making it smooth and full of flavor. 🌶️🧀 Entrées: Steak Frites I thought it might be boring, but the steak was juicy with a smoky char, elevated perfectly by chimichurri. The fries were fried in truffle oil—just right! 🥩🍟 Salmon Bowl The salmon was seared to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The red bell pepper purée complemented the natural sweetness of the fish, and the quinoa base kept the dish light and refreshing. 🐟🥗 We hadn’t even stepped outside before we were already planning our next visit. Finding a great restaurant always makes me so happy—Friday nights with the girls are the best! 🥳💃 #SaltLakeCityFood #SaltLakeCityLife #WeekendFoodTour #SLCFoodDiary #MyFoodJournal #FoodShare #FoodieInUSA #Inspiration #COTD #BarHopping #TopBars #SaltLakeCityTravel #SaltLakeCity #FridayVibes #FridayNightFun #FriendsGathering #WeekendPlans #FoodieFavorites #HiddenGems #UtahEats
