Salt Lake City | Wing Hing BBQ — New Cantonese Roast Shop 🍗

TL;DR: ✅ Pros: Affordable, generous portions ❌ Cons: Taste is pretty average This long-awaited BBQ spot in SLC just opened, and we went to try it right away. Here are our thoughts based on this visit: 🍚 Roast Duck Rice Very affordable price and good portion size. The duck itself was just okay — nothing special, fairly standard. 🍚 Char Siu Rice The char siu looked nicely colored but wasn’t very flavorful or juicy — a bit dry, especially toward the end of the meal. 🍗 Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings They gave a huge box — big plus for portion! But the menu showed mid-joints, yet we only got one mid-wing — the rest were drumettes. This was the most disappointing dish — barely any salt & pepper flavor, almost like they forgot to season it. The chicken was dry, tough, and bland — worse than some hot pot buffet wings. The shop is mostly takeout-focused — a few tables but not many. Water is only available bottled for purchase.
