Salt Lake City | Wing Hing BBQ โ New Cantonese Roast Shop ๐
TL;DR: โ Pros: Affordable, generous portions โ Cons: Taste is pretty average This long-awaited BBQ spot in SLC just opened, and we went to try it right away. Here are our thoughts based on this visit: ๐ Roast Duck Rice Very affordable price and good portion size. The duck itself was just okay โ nothing special, fairly standard. ๐ Char Siu Rice The char siu looked nicely colored but wasnโt very flavorful or juicy โ a bit dry, especially toward the end of the meal. ๐ Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings They gave a huge box โ big plus for portion! But the menu showed mid-joints, yet we only got one mid-wing โ the rest were drumettes. This was the most disappointing dish โ barely any salt & pepper flavor, almost like they forgot to season it. The chicken was dry, tough, and bland โ worse than some hot pot buffet wings. The shop is mostly takeout-focused โ a few tables but not many. Water is only available bottled for purchase. Honestly, if youโre just looking for a cheap, filling meal, the price is right. ๐ Wing Hing BBQ 1628 W 700 N suite b8, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 #SaltLakeCity #SLC #CantoneseFood #BBQ #RoastDuck #FoodReview #SLCExplore ๐ฅก
