Salt Lake City Fine Dining – Valter’s Osteria 🇮🇹🍝
An Italian restaurant that requires phone reservations—no online booking system. Walk-ins are not recommended, especially on weekends. Their service is exceptional, with various table-side preparations. Pastas are brought out in pans from the kitchen and plated right at your table. Appetizers and salads are also portioned into individual plates beside you. If you want to share main courses, mention it when ordering—they’ll handle the splitting gracefully. After all, you’re paying tips anyway, so why not fully enjoy the fine dining experience? 💫 As soon as you sit down, they serve bruschetta followed by bread with dipping sauce. The tomato topping on the bruschetta is delicious—though it’s gone in just a few bites! The dipping sauce has a strong garlic flavor. 🧄🍞 Pasta Sampler Special: Four pastas in one (butternut ravioli, spinach ravioli, gnocchi in spicy sauce, angel hair in lemonchello)—combined into a main dish portion. The ravioli and gnocchi were amazing, but the angel hair was too sour for my taste. There’s another sampler on the menu without the angel hair—seems like a better deal! 🍝🔥 Salsicce E Mare: The seafood was incredibly fresh and tender, with generous portions. Though shelling yourself is a bit messy, they provide tools and lemon water for cleaning fingers. I’d order this again in a heartbeat! 🦞🍋 After dessert, you get complimentary biscotti + chocolate dip. The chocolate is rich and pure—dark chocolate lovers will adore it. If not, just give it a try! Their signature dessert is gelato—almost ten flavors available. Tried the mixed berry: fruity and not too sweet. 🍨🫐 Only downside: The menu is tricky to read—full of Italian terms, and the online version is incomplete, so it’s hard to research ahead. #ItalianCuisine #RestaurantRecommendation #GlobalEats #SaltLakeCity #SLCFood #FineDining #FoodieExperience
