🍜 Salt Lake City Food|SLC Budget-Friendly Chinese Eats

Skiing is exhausting — why not treat your stomach right? Eating in SLC feels so much cheaper than the Bay Area! Here’s my rundown of a few affordable spots — from a tourist’s perspective, no sponsorships, just honest takes. 🌟🌟🌟 Sasa Kitchen Noodles and rice noodles are solid — appetizer must-order: chicken gizzards! The spicy stir-fry pot’s beef was a bit lean and dry, but the portion was generous. Sometimes short-staffed — once they brought the wrong dish but gave it to us for free. When they messed up our noodle order and we couldn’t finish, they still gave us sesame balls and oranges 🍊. Very kind! Not sure why some online reviews complain about service — they were warm to us 🤔. 🍲 Umi Japanese Shabu Shabu A Chinese-run Japanese hot pot spot. All-you-can-eat for around $30 — good quality beef, lots of seafood/veggie choices, and a huge sauce bar. Can’t ask for more! Staff were super friendly — will return! 🌟 Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle From appetizers to soup bases, flavors are on point — try the collagen chicken, sour spicy gold soup, green peppercorn, or pickled pepper versions. The rice noodle set doesn’t come with much meat/veggies, so you’ll need extras. 🍜 One More Noodle House Huge menu with tons of options. Tried a few combos — they’re generous with meat, great value. Go for the rice noodles or belt noodles. Soup base wasn’t particularly memorable though. Stir-fried cabbage (sweet style) was tasty. Seaweed salad was better with extra garlic! ⬛ China Taste Went during the holidays — crazy wait, understaffed, service was a mess. Ordered 8–9 dishes — tasted like pre-made sauce packets, memorably bad. One star for staying open on Christmas Eve. #MyFoodDiary #FoodieLife #USTravel #USRestaurantHunting #SaltLakeCity #SaltLakeCityFood
