Salt Lake City Food & Drink Wrap-Up
We cook at home 99% of the time while traveling, but SLC’s hot pot value was too good — we caved and ate at Happy Lamb three times in a month. 🌟 Happy Lamb Hot Pot AYCE Used two coupons ($50 off $25 each time). My teammate ate so much he vowed never to do hot pot AYCE again… Prime($30.99) includes beef tongue, shrimp paste, etc. — same price all day, +$3 for lamb leg. Filling, but worth trying once for the experience. VIP cheaper — $19.99 Mon–Fri 12–4 PM, otherwise $25.99, +$5 for lamb leg. Great for lunch with a view of the snowy mountains. Loved their milk tea (cuts the richness) and the passionfruit mini cake 🌟 Sukiya Sushi & Japanese Buffet Fresh fish sushi, cold dishes like mouthwatering chicken & beef offal salad, matcha pudding, ice cream, fruit. Lunch: $26/person. 🌟 Long Men Zhen Hot Pot AYCE Good value at lunch — crispy fried pork and cold noodles were amazing. Go for spicy broth, but meat quality was average — won’t return. 🌟 Tacos Lopez West Valley Try the lengua (beef tongue) and other offal tacos — $3 each! 🌟 Sasa Kitchen Sour & spicy intestine noodles + cold spicy chicken gizzards — flavorful! 🌟 Pretty Bird Hot Chicken Nashville-style fried chicken tenders coated in sweet-spicy seasoning — addictive! The signature burger was just okay. 🌟 Eva‘s Bakery Almond croissant — mind-blowing! Redefined my idea of a croissant. ☕️ Cafés & Dessert Spots Loki Coffee (near Liberty Park) — oat milk hazelnut latte 👍 Publik Coffee Roasters — brown sugar oat milk latte + industrial vibe — perfect for reading and cloud-watching.👌😘 Gourmandise — strawberry “fauxjito” with mint leaves, refreshing! Coco Fresh Tea (in Provo) — signature milk tea & passionfruit black tea, both great.💕🙌 Meet Fresh & 85°C Bakery (next to an Asian market) — easy to grab while shopping. Kahve Cafe SLC — atmospheric Turkish coffee house (more in a separate post!). 🌸 Full USA travel guides are saved in my highlights — check my profile for more! #SaltLakeCityEats #SLC #SaltLakeCityHotPot #CoffeeShops 🏔️🥢
