Salt Lake City📍Bear Lake Trail 🏔️🌲
Made a last-minute decision to go—snagged a permit for Bear Lake the night before! 🎫✨ Entered the park around 11 AM after a 20-minute wait in line 🚗⏳. Parked at a lot 5 miles below Bear Lake and took the internal shuttle up (on the way, a huge moose walked right next to our car! So magical—but I was too excited and forgot to take a photo... regret! 😫🦌). Hiked the route: Bear Lake → Nymph Lake → Dream Lake → Lake Haiyaha 🚶♀️💧. After Dream Lake, there was some snow—microspikes would help ❄️👟. Lake Haiyaha was stunning! 🏞️ Unlike the others, it’s surrounded by huge boulders—a bit challenging to climb but worth it! Took about 1.5 hours to get from Bear Lake to Lake Haiyaha (with short breaks at each lake). Returned downhill in under an hour. It had been a while since my last workout, so this felt pretty intense 💪😅. Decided to skip Alberta Falls and headed back the same way—since I live nearby, I’ll come again in two weeks! The Rockies to Colorado students are like Baiyun Mountain to Guangzhou locals 😂—plan to hike every two weeks to witness the seasonal shift from early summer 🍃 to peak summer ☀️, early fall 🍂, deep autumn 🍁, and into winter ❄️. #HikingTheWorld #USA #RockyMountainHiking #RockyMountainNP #Colorado #BearLake #MooseEncounter #SeasonalChanges
