Salzburg Public Transport Guide | The Ultimate Version 🚍

Finally done with exams—time for a real guide! Salzburg, as the capital of its state, has excellent transport links. The airport is super close to the city, making it perfect for a weekend getaway ✈️. 🚢 Day Trips from Salzburg 1. Hallstatt (The Famous Lakeside Village) 🏞️ Best Deal: On OBB, get the "Family & Friends" ticket (€19 for 2 adults + 4 kids—cheaper than solo tickets! 😂). Route: Bus 150 from Salzburg Hbf → Bad Ischl Bahnhof (cute town, sometimes has festivals!). Then Train R70 → Steeg-Gosau or Hallstatt Bahnhof (NOT the actual village—take a short bus/ferry). Alternative: Bus 541 (direct option, check schedules). Bonus Stop: St. Wolfgang Lake (along Bus 150 route)—walk by the lake or take a boat to St. Wolfgang village 🚤. 2. Königssee (King’s Lake) 🏔️ Bus 840 (direct from Salzburg, no transfers now!). Boat Ride: From the northern dock to the onion-domed church. Summer: Can go further south to Obersee (stunning!). Winter: Limited routes (still scenic but less accessible). Honest Review: A nice but not mind-blowing Alpine lake—worth it if weather’s good! 🏯 Salzburg City Transport Salzburg Card (buy at the airport/train station) = ALL public transport + major attractions (Mozart sites, fortress funicular, museums, etc.).
