Samgyetang|First Meal in Canada – Absolutely Amazing

I never expected my first meal in Canada to also be the most comforting and happiness-inducing one! I absolutely love the seasoning at this place! 😍 After accidentally eating at a few heavy-flavored or MSG-laden spots, I now realize how precious it is to find food outside that’s light, tasty, and allows the ingredients' natural flavors to shine through. The staff here 💁‍♀️ are efficient and friendly, and I noticed many people dining here. After tipping, it’s about $30 per person 🔪. 1⃣️ **Samgyetang Ginseng Chicken Soup** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💰$24.99 🐔 The signature ginseng chicken soup is incredible. When I ordered, the server mentioned they had to make a fresh batch, so it would take 15 minutes. Meanwhile, I have to praise the side dishes – especially loved the potatoes 🥔 and eggplant 🍆! The flavors were spot on, and the portions were just right. 🥣 The broth in the Samgyetang is exceptionally fresh and light. You can tell it’s not loaded with MSG but rather slow-cooked to perfection (I didn’t feel thirsty at all afterward). They also provided a small dish of thin noodles, which were already cooked – just warm them in the broth for a silky texture. The clay pot retains heat incredibly well, so even after finishing every last bite, the soup was still warm. 🐔 The chicken is incredibly tender and juicy, falling right off the bone. It seemed like a small chicken because the drumsticks were tiny, haha! The chicken was stuffed with sticky rice, a red date, and a piece of ginseng. Overall, I felt so comforted after eating – even the slight discomfort from my period vanished, and I was completely recharged. My mood lifted, and who knows, I might start coming here once a month, haha! 😆 2⃣️ **Dol Sot BulGoGi Dup Bap (Stone Pot Bulgogi Rice)** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💰$19.99 🐂 The portion of beef is generous, perfectly light, and absolutely delicious! 😋 #100RestaurantChallenge #Kosam #Samgyetang #Toronto #TorontoEats #TorontoFoodie #BulgogiRice
