San Antonio, Texas: A Waterfront City Getaway 🌊✨
🏰 Mission San Jose This mission was established around early Catholic missionary activities, centered around a church. It functioned like a small, self-sustaining town with housing, food, and defensive structures. Among San Antonio’s many missions, Mission San Jose is one of the most representative and well-preserved. 🌙 Night Walk at River Walk The River Walk is arguably San Antonio’s most famous attraction! 🌳💡 The pathway along the river is beautifully designed with a relaxing vibe. At night, colorful lights decorate the trees—some of which are over 20-30 meters tall. The walkway is also lined with numerous restaurants and cafes. If you have time, don’t miss the boat tour—it’s a must! 🚤👍 🎪 Historic Market Square Here you’ll find tons of Mexican street food like churros, gorditas, and aguas frescas (very sweet Mexican fruit drinks) 🍬🍍. Aside from food, there are plenty of souvenir shops, though most items seem to be imported from Yiwu Market—every store sells similar products. 🇲🇽 Mi Tierra Cafe A festive Mexican restaurant and bakery with 81 years of history! It’s been featured on Eater and other sites, so I had high hopes—but sadly, it was a bit disappointing 😂. The steak was good, but skip the Fajitas Plate. Even Mexicans shake their heads at it—not authentic at all. #SanAntonio #TravelUSA #NorthAmericaTravel #TexasGetaway #RiverWalk #MexicanFood #HistoricSites
