San Antonio, Texas – A Flavorful Trip with No Regrets! 😋🌮
I landed in San Antonio for a work trip around 10 PM on a drizzly, quiet night 🛬🌧️. The streets were empty, and I easily adjusted to the time zone. The next morning, even by 9 or 10 AM, it still felt like a sleepy little town – so calm that I could wander around without GPS and still find my way back to the hotel 🏨✨. But things changed by mid-afternoon! Around 2 or 3 PM, the streets gradually came alive with people and cars. That’s when the city started to feel warm and welcoming. The weather during my visit was just perfect – not too hot, not too cold 🌤️. I had three full days to explore, so of course, I went hunting for local eats: 🍖 Pinkerton's Barbecue – You can’t visit Texas without trying BBQ! I skipped the sides and still struggled to finish my plate. Back home in China, this much meat would last me a whole week! 😂 🍷 Brasserie Mon Chou Chou – A French brasserie that apparently had long lines when it first opened. Compared to typical American fare, French cuisine really won my heart ❤️. 🥐 La Panadería Bakery Café – A popular spot for breakfast or brunch. The pastries were delicious, but the portions were huge! 🍳 🇪🇸 Hola! – Spanish restaurant. I’ve been to Barcelona and tried paella there – this was authentic but still a bit too salty for my taste 🥘. 🇲🇽 A Mexican Eatery along the River Walk – I ordered paella and tacos here, and they were absolutely my style! So tasty 😍. But I made a rookie mistake – I only brought my card and had no cash for a tip… so awkward! 😅 Calling Texas a “food desert” would be totally unfair. San Antonio is packed with historic restaurants and hotels. I picked a few spots randomly and didn’t regret a single bite! #SanAntonio #SanAntonioEats #TexasFoodie #TravelAndEat #NoRegrets
