Texas | A Super Packed 2-Day San Antonio Itinerary
San Antonio is pretty compact, with most attractions centered around the River Walk. Both sides of the river are lined with restaurants, bars, and shops — and at night, the lights reflecting on the water create a magical vibe. ✨ 🎠 If traveling with kids: Add SeaWorld, and consider stopping at Natural Bridge Caverns and the nearby Wildlife Ranch on your way to Austin! 🏨 Accommodation tip: Stay along the River Walk for easy access. Valet parking can be pricey — look for public garages or lots nearby for cheaper options. 🌮 Food: Casa Rio: Popular on social media, right on the river. We waited ~20 minutes for a table. Portions are huge and affordable, flavors are okay — but the views make it worth it! 🍽️ 📌 Attractions: 1️⃣ Walkable from River Walk: ✅ The Alamo ✅ GO RIO Cruise — best after dark when everything’s lit up 🚤🌙 ✅ San Fernando Cathedral Light Show — Tue–Sun at 9 PM & 9:30 PM in the plaza (lasts ~20 mins, absolutely stunning!) ✨ ✅ Museums: Briscoe Western Art Museum, San Antonio Museum of Art, Witte Museum (natural science & dinosaur fossils) 🦖 2️⃣ Need a car: ✅ Mission San José — Spanish colonial historic site ✅ SeaWorld (yep, same as San Diego & Orlando! Open at 1 PM in winter. Great shows: dolphins, sharks, belugas, sea lions, orcas — we walked 20,000 steps! 🐬) ✅ Natural Bridge Caverns — Texas’ largest cave system, with stunning stalactites, huge chambers, and underground rivers. Book tickets in advance — most choose the Discovery Tour. 🕳️🌟 ✅ Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch — drive-thru safari, right next to the caverns 🦓🚗 🔥 2.5-Day Itinerary: Day 1: Arrive in the afternoon → explore River Walk → evening GO RIO cruise → Cathedral light show Day 2: Morning: The Alamo → Mission San José → Afternoon: SeaWorld Day 3: Natural Bridge Caverns + Wildlife Ranch #SanAntonio #Spurs #TexasTravel #ExploreTexas #FamilyTrip #TravelGuide 🇺🇸🤠
