San Antonio: Spanish Food & A Night Walk Along the Riverwalk
Today we checked out the Spanish restaurant Toro Kitchen + Bar 🍷. We came for the paella and tapas! Arrived at 6:50 PM just in time for happy hour — $5 house wine, rich and strong… got a little tipsy after just a few sips 😅✨. 🍚 Toro Paella – A bit of everything in this Spanish seafood rice! Spicy and salty chorizo, sweet fresh seafood, rich rice, and refreshing peas. Really tasty — order it as soon as you sit down, takes 30–40 minutes to prepare. 🐙 Grilled Octopus with Garlic Olive Oil – True to its name, packed with garlic flavor! Tender, juicy octopus, served hot. Perfect with bread 🥖. 🌮 Pork Tacos & Spanish Chorizo Tapas – The pulled pork was super flavorful with spicy onions, bursting with flavor in every bite. The chorizo was salty, spicy, with a hint of sourness, served with a fragrant garlic-herb dip — so good! 🦑 Crispy Calamari with Garlic Cream Sauce – Tender, lightly seasoned, and each piece was huge! Happy hour price: only $6 — such a steal! 🍽️ Even on a Tuesday night, the place was lively! The drink menu was 3–4 pages long, filled with friends and couples enjoying drinks — great vibes all around 🥂. 🎆 The Saga Light Show – A music and light projection show at San Fernando Cathedral. Runs every half hour from 7:30 to 8:30 PM, each show lasts 20 minutes. Pretty cool to watch! 🌙 Night Walk Along the Riverwalk – Even prettier than during the day! Felt like stumbling into a European village 🏮. December in Texas wasn’t too cold, and with songs drifting from riverside restaurants and dreamy holiday lights everywhere… I just wanted to keep walking slowly, taking it all in. 🎃 Spotted a pumpkin carriage outside a mall — maybe it was the beautiful night or the slight buzz, but suddenly this city felt pretty romantic 💕. #SanAntonio #SanAntonioRiverWalk
