San Antonio|Italian Restaurant Approved by an Italian Friend 🇮🇹
My friend says this is the closest to authentic Italian food she’s had in SA 😉 — and I agree, it’s pretty good! Nice ambiance too ✨. Background music 🎶, but not too loud. Tablecloths, servers in black shirts — feels a bit upscale but still welcoming. (Though the service can be… very attentive — they checked on us like 10 times during the meal 😅). There’s a banquet hall for events — can be booked in advance. Weekdays are calm; weekends get busy, so reservations are recommended 🗓️. ✨ Appetizer – Mushrooms 🍄 Pretty tasty! If you’re not ordering salad or greens, this works as a veggie starter. ✨ Appetizer – Calamari (not pictured) Large portion, but nothing special — skip unless you really want fried squid 🦑. ✨ Salad A classic, refreshing Italian salad with a light tangy dressing 🥗. ✨ Chicken Parmesan with Pasta 🍝 My personal favorite! Thin, crispy breaded chicken cutlet (a bit on the dry side) served with pasta — still delicious though 😋. ✨ Shrimp Pasta 🍤 Shrimp were fresh, no fishy taste, coated in a flavorful sauce that paired well with the pasta. 💧 Heads up: They’ll ask if you want sparkling or still water from a bottle (which costs extra, Italian-style 💸). If you prefer tap water, just say “tap water, please” 🚰. 📍 Maggiano's Little Italy 17603 W I-10 Frontage Rd, San Antonio, TX 78257 #ItalianFood #RestaurantRecommendation #VibesOnly #HiddenGemEats #SanAntonio
