San Antonio | The Best Dim Sum – Officially! 🥢🥟

This Chinese restaurant has been a local treasure since 1987 – nearly 40 years in San Antonio! It’s also the only place in town that offers traditional dim sum cart service on weekends. The quality has always been consistent, and I bring every visiting friend here for dim sum! 🫖✨ If you’re coming for dim sum, I highly recommend visiting on the weekend – that’s when the carts come out, along with some exclusive dishes you can’t get on weekdays. Here are my must-try favorites (including some hidden menu items!): 🌱 Steamed Pea Shoots Lightly stir-fried with garlic – a dim sum essential! (Not on the menu – weekends only. Ask for “steamed bean sprout”) 🐥 Chicken Feet (Phoenix Claws) Braised in black bean sauce – tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone! 🦐 Har Gow (Shrimp Dumplings) Plump, fresh shrimp with a hint of bamboo shoot. The wrapper is thin and chewy – miles ahead of frozen versions! 🍤 Crispy Shrimp Cheung Fun Another weekend cart special! The shrimp is fried before being wrapped in rice noodle rolls – so it stays crispy inside. Dip in sauce – perfection! 🐮 Beef Tripe with Ginger Bouncy texture with a light ginger taste. Occasionally a piece is too big to absorb flavor fully, but overall delicious. 🍍 Sweet and Sour Pork Not your typical heavy-battered version – lightly dusted and fried, with a tangy-sweet sauce. Refreshingly good! 🥬 Shrimp Supreme A lighter stir-fry with bamboo shoots, baby corn, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and more. Wok hei included! 🐟 Garlic Black Bean Fish Crispy fried fish topped with savory black bean sauce. Best eaten hot – cools down a bit fishy. 🍜 Dry-Fried Beef Ho Fun A bit inconsistent – depends on the chef. Sometimes perfectly wok-tossed, sometimes a bit stiff. 📍 Golden Wok A true classic for dim sum and Cantonese comfort food. #DimSumLover #SanAntonioEats #HiddenGems #GoldenWok #FoodieReview #USTA #TexasEats
