San Antonio – It’s Not Just About the Alamo! 🇺🇸🌵

Just two hours south of Austin lies this historic city, famous for the Battle of the Alamo – a powerful symbol of resistance and independence in the heart of every Texan. The Lone Star State carries a solemn history. The Alamo, where Texan militias once fought fiercely, was actually a church and is now a museum that vividly tells the story of that turbulent era. Strolling along the Riverwalk feels like being in Venice 🚤💫. The highlight, of course, is enjoying a delicious meal at a riverside restaurant. I strongly recommend Iron Cactus – a fantastic Mexican spot with top-notch steaks and pasta, amazing river views, and great prices! 📍 200 River Walk, Ste 100, San Antonio Another surprise was the San Antonio Zoo – the third-largest zoo in the U.S.! It's huge and could easily take a full day to explore. Don’t miss seeing the last three northern white rhinos in the world 🦏❤️. Originally, I planned to visit a wildlife park but accidentally booked the wrong ticket on Trip 😅 – turned out to be more of a petting zoo for kids, not quite suited for serious animal lovers like me. As for the local caves – not really worth it. We have much more impressive ones back in China 🇨🇳🕳️. I also want to give a shout-out to the Witte Museum next to the zoo. It’s a hidden gem that offers a full view of Texas’s natural and ecological history – you can even touch dinosaur fossils millions of years old 🦴🌿. This pairs perfectly with a zoo visit! Finally, how can you visit San Antonio without catching a Spurs game? The former AT&T Center, now Frost Bank Center, is where the action is – seeing Victor Wembanyama play in person was truly thrilling 🏀⚡! Having visited San Antonio several times, I wanted to share these tips – hope they help you plan your trip! #Texas #TexasTravel #SanAntonio #VisitSanAntonio #SanAntonioFood 🌮🎉
