๐๐ต San Antonio Delicious Food Finds ๐ฅฉโญ๏ธ
1๏ธโฃ Iron Cactus Walked in around 8:30 PM on our first day โ personally think it was the best meal of the trip! ๐ โจ Ordered: Seafood paella ๐ฅ / Lobster tacos / Angus steak The complimentary chips came with freshly made dips โ one meat sauce, one spicy salsa โ warm and so appetizing! ๐ฅ The paella had a distinct Southwest twist with a strong tomato base (tomato lovers, rejoice! ๐ ), and it was loaded with seafood. The lobster tacos were the best Iโve ever had โ even better than ones I tried in Puerto Rico! Creamy cheese and savory sauce over tender lobster made it unforgettable ๐ฆโค๏ธ. 2๏ธโฃ Boudro's Highly recommended on social media โ reservations are a must! We ordered: Blackened Prime Ribs / Quail / Coconut Shrimp. Overall, great ambiance and good flavors ๐ฝ๏ธโจ. The quail was slightly charred but still juicy, with tasty sides. The prime ribs were huge and rich with butter โ though the potatoes were a bit hard and bland. The coconut shrimp was a letdown โ overly greasy, with an odd sweet-salty clash ๐คโ. Service and vibe, though, were excellent! 3๏ธโฃ La Panaderรญa A popular Mexican-style brunch spot โ even on weekdays there was a line! Waited about 20 minutes arriving at noon. Ordered: Eggs Benedict and Al Pastor Sandwich. The eggs Benedict was huge with two perfectly runny eggs, crispy chicken, and savory-spicy sauce on toasted bread โ so satisfying! The Al Pastor sandwich had grilled pork loin and roasted pineapple โ kind of like a Mexican-style roujiamo (meat bun) ๐ฎ๐ฅช. 4๏ธโฃ Tokyo Cowboy A fusion spot recommended by our hotel front desk โ reservations needed. Felt more like a whiskey bar ๐ฅ๐ . Only two dishes stood out: Krab & Crab Roll and Shrimp Noodles โ both had rich, layered flavors. The dumplings and fried chicken bites were okay but felt more like bar snacks. #Texas #SanAntonio #WhatToEatToday #RestaurantRecommendations #MemorableMeals #HiddenGemEats
