San Antonio Food Guide 🍖🌵
Just spent three delicious days eating through the city – here are my top picks! 1️⃣ Iron Cactus ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Walked in around 8:30 PM – no wait! Honestly the best meal of the trip. ✨ Ordered: Paella, Lobster Tacos, Angus Steak The complimentary chips came with freshly made warm salsa and meat dip – so flavorful and addictive! The paella had a strong Southwest twist with a rich tomato base 🍅🦞, packed with seafood. The lobster tacos were THE BEST I’ve ever had – even better than some I tried in Puerto Rico! Topped with savory sauce and melty cheese 😋🌮 2️⃣ Boudro’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly rated – reservations recommended! We tried: Blackened Prime Ribs, Quail, Coconut Shrimp Overall great vibe and tasty food. The quail was a bit charred but still juicy with delicious sides. Prime rib was huge and buttery 🥩, though the potatoes were undercooked and bland. The coconut shrimp was a miss – overly greasy and confusingly sweet-salty. Service and atmosphere were top-notch though! 🕯️👌 3️⃣ La Panadería ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A popular Mexican brunch spot – even on a weekday, we waited 20 mins around noon. Ordered: Eggs Benedict and Al Pastor Sandwich The eggs Benedict was huge with perfectly runny eggs, crispy chicken, and spicy hollandaise 🍳🔥. The Al Pastor sandwich had grilled pork and pineapple – like a Mexican-style “roujiamo” 🥪🍍! So tasty. 4️⃣ Tokyo Cowboy ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommended by hotel staff – fusion cuisine, reservation needed. Felt more like a whiskey bar than a restaurant 🥃… Only liked: Krab & Crab Roll and Shrimp Noodles – both had great texture and flavor. The dumplings and fried chicken were just okay – better with drinks. #TexasEats #SanAntonioFood #FoodRecs #BestRestaurants #FoodieAdventure #TravelEats
