San Antonio Food Spotlight: La Panadería 🥐☕️

This bakery is definitely one of San Antonio’s Instagram-famous spots! 📸 There are four locations across the city – we visited the one near the zoo. 🐾 Just a heads-up: after 10:30 AM, the parking lot and the café get pretty busy, so maybe come a bit earlier if you can! We didn’t order a lot, but everything we tried was tasty. 1️⃣ Conchas 🥯 Their signature item! They offer four or five classic flavors, plus a red velvet version. It’s a soft, fluffy bread topped with a sweet, crumbly shell – not too sweet, perfectly paired with coffee. ☕️✨ 2️⃣ Tres Leches Croissant 🥐 Another popular pastry – a buttery croissant filled with strawberry cream. The croissant itself was delicious, though the jam inside had a slightly sour note. Not sure if it’s intentional or just a bit off… 🤔 3️⃣ Beans, Ham, and Swiss Cheese Croissant 🥪 From the kids' menu, but honestly our favorite! Smoky ham and black bean spread worked surprisingly well together. Even the little ones loved it! 👧🧒 4️⃣ Tres Leches Matcha Cold Foam 🥤 Looks like a new drink – reminded us of the trendy strawberry matcha foam drinks back in China! 🍓🍵 No bitterness from the matcha, and the three flavors layered beautifully. Highly recommend! We also tried their iced latte – solid choice. ❤️ 📍 Name: La Panadería Bakery Café 🌟 Verdict: Their pastries are overall delicious, and the sandwiches and drinks stand out. We saw people around us enjoying brunch plates – they looked generous and super appetizing.
