San Antonio Omakase Review — Jimoto 💫

A new Japanese omakase pop-up just opened in San Antonio: Jimoto Omakase — the space is reportedly available until next August! 🍣✨ 9 Courses: 1️⃣ First course (forgot the name!) 2️⃣ Golden Eye Snapper — light and refreshing. 3️⃣ Another refreshing starter to awaken the palate. 4️⃣ Three cuts of tuna: Akami (lean tuna) Chūtoro (medium fatty tuna) Toro (fatty tuna belly) — my absolute favorite! The sauce had beautiful layers of flavor, ending with a subtle smoky finish. 5️⃣ Hokkaido Scallop topped with Japanese cucumber and roe — a close second favorite! 6️⃣ Hokkaido Sea Urchin — you can taste the ocean in every bite. 7️⃣ Tamagoyaki inspired by Jiro’s style — looks like a delicate egg cake, perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. No wasabi included, but they’ll freshly grate some if you ask! A refined and memorable experience — can’t wait to see what’s next for Jimoto! 🍱🎌 #Omakase #FoodieReview #SanAntonioEats #JapaneseCuisine #PopUpDining
