๐ San Francisco 4-Day Itinerary + Stanford & UCB
Base: Departed from LA, arrived in SF around 10:30 AM ๐ณ No Apple Pay? Get a Clipper card for public transport (nice souvenir too!). But note: SF transit is pricey โ rideshare often cheaper for 3+ people. Day 1: Stanford University + Google Visitor Center ๐๏ธ Stanford University: Huge campus โ worth half a day! Superb academic vibe + gorgeous architecture. โ ๏ธ Closed for Thanksgiving: Art Museum & Hoover Tower (check hours beforehand!). ๐ค Google Visitor Center: Silicon Valley isnโt super touristy, but Googleโs spot has cute robots + affordable cafรฉ โโค๏ธ. ๐ Rideshare to hotel near Union Square (super convenient location). ๐ Evening: Explored Union Square + giant Christmas tree! Day 2: Fishermanโs Wharf + Chinatown + Lombard Street โ Buena Vista Cafe: Famous spot (lucky find on Thanksgiving!). Irish coffee was super bitter/strong โ caution! ๐ฅ ๐ Fishermanโs Wharf: Cable cars (long lines!), waterfront shops, ferris wheel ($19/person) with stunning sunset views ๐ ๐ก. ๐ฟ Lombard Street: Crooked but underwhelming in winter (no flowers!). Best viewed from across the street for city vistas. ๐ถ๏ธ Chinatown dinner: Spicy Sichuan feast โ so satisfying! ๐ Day 3: Palace of Fine Arts + Golden Gate Bridge + CA Science Museum ๐๏ธ Palace of Fine Arts: Breathtaking architecture โ endlessly photogenic! ๐ Golden Gate Bridge: Iconic! Visit welcome center for epic photos. ๐๏ธ CA Science Museum: Rushed but worth it (Japanese Tea Garden, etc.). Day 4: UCB Berkeley โด๏ธ Missed Alcatraz (requires early booking!) ๐ UC Berkeley: Campus wasnโt hugely scenic (skip if short time), but check out: Campanile (bell tower) + bear statue ๐ป Telegraph Ave: Bubble tea, food, shops ๐ง๐ ๐ Big C: Sunset swing views recommended! ๐ก Tips: Clipper card handy but cost-effective for groups?
