Santa Fe, A Feast of Unique Architecture 🏜️❄️🎨
It was still lightly snowing in late March in the small city of Santa Fe, New Mexico—thankfully, the next day turned sunny 🌞, giving us the perfect opportunity to explore. It also made our previous evening’s soak at Ten Thousand Waves hot springs in the snow a truly magical and unforgettable experience! ❄️✨ Every corner of this little city is filled with these earthy, rounded-square adobe buildings, along with countless galleries and Native American art 🖼️. It’s an absolute paradise for cultural and architectural photographers! 📸 📍Inn & Spa at Loretto The entrance of the hotel is spacious, and the beauty of the building itself makes it incredibly photogenic from any angle. The hotel is connected to the Loretto Chapel, which is famous for its mysterious wooden spiral staircase. However, the $5 ticket only gets you a glimpse of a small staircase—the chapel’s grandeur doesn’t even come close to the nearby free-to-enter The Cathedral Basilica. 😅 📍New Mexico Museum of Art We originally planned to buy the $12 ticket, but the empty reception area (literally just a guy swatting flies 🪰) kinda turned us off. Ended up skipping it—sometimes it’s okay to follow the crowd! 🚶♀️🚶 📍La Fonda The restaurant La Plazuela inside the hotel is highly recommended! It’s set in a sunlit atrium with a fountain and stained-glass windows that feel like a church 🍽️⛲. Their signature soup from the starters and the chicken pot pie from the main menu are both delicious! 😋🍗 📍New Mexico History Museum All of these spots are within a 10-minute walk in Santa Fe Plaza—truly a feast of architecture! And the whole Canyon Road nearby is packed with art galleries… but that’s a story for the next post! 🖼️👣 #NewMexico #SantaFe #AdobeArchitecture #SouthwestStyle #TravelGuide #ArtLovers #CulturalTravel #HistoricLandmarks #DesertVibes #ArchitecturalPhotography
