Santander Art Viewing | The Art Gallery by the SeašŸš—šŸšŒ

šŸŒŠšŸŽØChecking out a few more art galleries by the sea, since there aren’t many museums to visit in San SebastiĆ”n due to its focus on food, I chose to go to Santander, which is about a 90-minute drive from Bilbao. For those who don’t drive, you can take a bus from the Bilbao Intermodal station with companies like Alsa, Pesa, or use blablacar to get there. šŸ“ The main reason for this trip was to see the art gallery designed by Renzo Piano. Centro BotĆn is located right by the sea, and its location is a bit like that of the M+ in Hong Kong, and also reminiscent of the Astrup Fearnley Museet in Oslo, designed by the same team. šŸ“ There’s currently a group exhibition where the second-floor gallery only features one painting, with a few dancers performing a live dance inspired by the painting. It’s quite impactful to have someone staring at you with empty eyes, and there’s even a baby who seems to be either randomly present or deliberately part of the performance. Another smaller art gallery by the sea, which is part of the ENAIRE Foundation, hosts contemporary art exhibitions. #ArtViewing #ArtGallery #Spain #SeasideArtGallery #RenzoPiano #Santander #BilbaoSurroundings
