All four specialty dishes were ordered, along with an additional roast lamb shank. 1️⃣ Mousaka - Considered the national dish of Greece, this layered dish of minced meat and eggplant is topped with a creamy béchamel sauce and a sprinkle of cheese. It's a mouthful of creamy, meaty goodness. 2️⃣ Pastitsio - Similar to Moussaka but with tubular pasta instead of eggplant, this dish is a delightful twist on a classic. It's tasty and not as heavy as pasta dishes with tomato sauce or creamy pasta dishes. 3️⃣ Pork in Cooking Pot - The pork is well-prepared and has a unique flavor profile with hints of beer and honey. It pairs wonderfully with rice. 4️⃣ Gemista - Roasted bell peppers filled with a mixture of soft rice, pine nuts, and raisins. The rice is well-seasoned, and the accompanying roasted potatoes are also quite enjoyable. 5️⃣ Lamb Shank - The roast lamb shank might have a slight gamey flavor and is the saltiest dish of the meal, but it's still palatable. One friend particularly enjoyed it and loved the roasted potatoes soaked in the sauce. Beverage options could be a bit hit or miss.
