Sao Paulo 🇧🇷 Portuguese cuisine | Also a Portuguese style shop

🏠 Rancho Português 🗺️ Av. dos Bandeirantes, 1051 - Vila Olímpia, São Paulo - SP, 04550-003 🇵🇹 A Lisbon-Inspired Culinary Time Machine Heard so much about their pastel de nata that I finally visited this Vila Olímpia staple. Since 1998, they’ve aimed to transport Brazilians, Portuguese expats, and descendants "home" through decor inspired by Portuguese villages. The menu says it best: "Five locations where you can savor Bairrada suckling pig, grilled sardines, Mirandela alheira, Serra da Estrela cheese, and desserts paired with wines from Porto, Madeira, and the Douro." 🍴 Tasting Portugal Plate by Plate 「Bairrada Suckling Pig」:Legendary but maybe lost in translation 😅 Crispy skin, tender meat, but the seasoned crust leaned salty, with a faint gamey aroma. Maybe it’s an acquired taste? 「Baked Seafood Soup」:Hidden gem! Loaded with oysters in a creamy broth—salty but addictive, especially when mopped up with bread. 「Liquid Cheese Bread Rolls」:Showstopper! Fresh, lightly fermented cheese like runny milk candy spread on warm rolls—more addictive than the main course. 「Pastel de Nata」:Worth the hype! 11 BRL each, with custard somewhere between jello and pudding—sweeter than KFC but never cloying, with a shatteringly crisp caramelized top. 🛍️ The Shop & Wine Cellar Ceramics & Decor:Gorgeous Portuguese roosters, tiles, and tableware, but prices are steep (window-shopping recommended for culture vultures). Wine Map:Loved the labeled regions on the wine shelf—learn while you shop! 💰 Splurge-Worthy? 320+ BRL per person, but the pastel de nata alone is a reason to visit. #PortugueseCuisine #FineDining #ExpatEats #FoodieJourney
