Stanley Park was breathtaking—mountains, ocean, giant redwoods... but what really left a mark? That parking ticket. Here’s my cautionary tale for fellow road trippers: 🅿️ Parking Drama Unfolds 1️⃣ "Helpful" Attendant: A friendly staffer offered to operate the pay machine for us (mistake #1). Printer ran out of paper—"No receipt, but we’ve got you in the system!" she said. 2️⃣ Underestimating Nature: Paid for 2 hours, then: Got lost hiking to the Prospect Point flagpole (those trails are sneaky!) Marveled at hollow redwoods big enough to live in Ate ice cream while watching Lions Gate Bridge... with 30 mins left ⏰ 3️⃣ The Downfall: No receipt = couldn’t use the app to extend time Wrong parking lot in GPS (there are so many!)
