Sava’s (Ann Arbor) – Lives Up to the “Best Restaurant” Hype? Our Fall Break Feast Recap 🍂 Everyone raves that Sava’s is Ann Arbor’s top spot—and after our fall break dinner with friends, we totally get why! Nestled at 216 S State St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, it’s the kind of place that feels special the second you walk in. Whether you’re here for a date night or a group hang, the food and vibe hit all the right notes. Let’s break down what we ate (and obsessed over!) 🥂 🕯️ Vibe: Romantic Dinner Magic We arrived for dinner, and the atmosphere was chef’s kiss—dim, warm lighting, windows to gaze out at the street, and that cozy, intimate energy that makes conversations flow. It’s so perfect for couples (shoutout to anyone bringing their partner for a Western food date night! 😂). Even with a group of four, we felt right at home—no awkward overcrowding, just relaxed romance. 🍴 The Food: 5-Star Hits (and One Solid 3-Star!) We ordered a spread to share, and most dishes were total winners—here’s the scoop, star ratings included: Burrata & Burnt Citrus (4/5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Creamy burrata paired with sweet, slightly charred citrus? Chef’s kiss. The fresh, bright citrus cuts through the cheese’s richness—every bite is light and refreshing. A must-order starter! Baked Mac & Cheese (4/5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is not your average mac and cheese! Loaded with multiple cheeses 🧀, it’s cheesy, gooey, and so flavorful—we four polished it off in 5 minutes flat! Fair warning: It’s rich, so split it with friends (eating it alone might leave you too full!). Birria Dip (4/5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Savory, tender birria in a creamy dip—perfect for sopping up with bread (or even fries!). The meat is packed with warm spices, and the dip has just the right depth of flavor. Another group favorite—we couldn’t stop scooping! Shoestring Fries (5/5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The MVP of the night! Crispy, salty, and perfectly thin—these fries are absolute perfection. No soggy bits, just golden crunch. We could’ve eaten a whole plate by ourselves (and almost did! 😋). Chicken Fusilli (3/5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Solid, but not a standout. The chicken was tender, and the fusilli was cooked al dente, but the sauce lacked that “wow” factor. It’s good if you’re craving pasta, but skip it if you want something unforgettable. Honey Chili Crispy Salmon (4/5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside—this salmon is cooked to perfection! The honey chili glaze adds a sweet-spicy kick that balances the fish perfectly. Not too heavy, and full of flavor—we’d order this again in a heartbeat. 🍦 Post-Dinner Treat: Michigan Creamery (Same Street!) Don’t leave without popping into Michigan Creamery (it’s right on the same street as Sava’s)! Their ice cream is delicious—but skip the cinnamon churro flavor (it’s just okay). Go for chocolate or peanut butter instead—creamy, rich, and the perfect end to a great meal 🍨. #AnnArborFoodHunt #RestaurantRecommendation #lofiLowPixel #UMich #AnnArbor #UniversityOfMichigan #AnnArborFood #UniversityOfMichiganAnnArbor #NewBlogger #Vlog #LifeRecording #MarkMyLife #NorthAmericaDaily #AmericanLife
