Savannah’s Nearly Century-Old Hotels 🏨

Savannah’s Nearly Century-Old Hotels 🏨 The Cloister at Sea Island The hotel is divided into five parts: The Cloister, The Lodge, Cottages, The Inn, and Broadfield. Among them, the first two—The Cloister and The Lodge—are even rated as Forbes Five-Star Hotels ⭐️! Located about an hour and a half drive south of Savannah, this is a landmark hotel with nearly a century of history. The doorman at the entrance verifies your accommodation details and reports to the front desk. After getting a parking pass and driving straight in, everything along the way is meticulously maintained. The entire hotel feels like an elaborately cared-for, thoughtfully designed estate 🌿. Arriving at the hotel area, I was amazed by its scale—it’s the largest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and quite literally, almost an entire island is part of the hotel grounds! The hotel was fully booked on the day we arrived. From other guests, we learned that generations of their families have been coming here for vacations, which feels very heritage-rich 👨👩👧👦. The whole hotel exudes an atmosphere where both guests and staff are proud of it. The service details far surpass those of various North American chain "big box hotels": the hotel provides exclusive room cards printed with your name, and the bellboy enthusiastically drives a golf cart to show you around the campus, detailing the room layout and hotel history 🚗. The only downside is that the hotel’s dining is just so-so, but at a American restaurant called Woodside outside the island, we had the best French toast of the year 🍞, which made up for the small disappointment~ Hotel Bardo Savannah A small but beautiful boutique hotel with nice-looking restaurants, bars, and rooms ✨. However, the food is and the sound insulation is terrible… The experience is a bit of a letdown 😅. Alligator Soul Restaurant A Southern-style restaurant. Other than the fact that fried alligator meat tastes like chicken, the other dishes are unmemorable and quite ordinary 🤷🏻‍♀️. The Olde Pink House Must give a bad review and warn against it ❌! The service is slow and the attitude is mediocre. The food took 50 minutes to arrive and was terrible. It’s promoted that the restaurant is housed in a former historic building, but such buildings are a dime a dozen in Savannah—there’s no need to come here on purpose~ #USATravel#Hotels#AmericanLife
