Savannah | SCAD Film Festival 🎬✨

Trustees Theater 216 E Broughton St, Savannah, GA 31401 My SCAD film director friend literally dragged me to the festival this week - and oh my god, what an amazing surprise! πŸŽ₯❀️ As a hardcore musical theatre nerd 🎭, I'll admit I was kinda skeptical at first. Like, how could a film festival compete with the magic of live performances? But wow, was I wrong! The energy here is absolutely electric! ⚑ I found myself completely captivated by the incredible short films and student productions - each one telling such unique and powerful stories. The Q&A sessions with emerging filmmakers were particularly inspiring! πŸ—£οΈβœ¨ Can I just make a declaration here? Savannah deserves to be crowned the artistic capital of the South! πŸ‘‘πŸŽ¨ Everywhere you turn, there's creativity flowing through the streets - from the stunning architecture to the art galleries on every corner. Even the coffee shops feel like they're straight out of an indie film set, filled with students sketching storyboards and writers working on their next masterpiece. β˜•πŸ“ The weather decided to be all cinematic and moody ☁️, which actually created this beautiful, atmospheric backdrop for exploring between screenings. Though I can't help imagining how different the light would be - how those golden hour rays would paint the historic squares in cinematic gold, creating perfect frames around the Spanish moss-draped oaks. πŸŒ…πŸŽžοΈ From discovering incredible new voices in film to soaking up the creative energy of this beautiful city, this experience has been nothing short of magical. ✨ Already counting down to next year's festival! 🎟️🀩 #SCAD #SCADFilmFestival #Savannah #FilmFestivalVibes #CreativeCity #EmergingFilmmakers #MovieMagic #ArtisticHub #FilmDiscovery #SouthernCharm #FestivalSeason
