Savannah Historic Town 2.5-Day Trip 🏰 Day 1: Wandering River Street B

Savannah Historic Town 2.5-Day Trip 🏰 Day 1: Wandering River Street Boardwalk Arrived at the hotel in the historic district at 4:30 PM. Walked 13 minutes to eTang Chinese Restaurant for dinner. The food was mediocre—small portions, overpriced, and low value for money. Not recommended at all ❌. After dinner, strolled along River Street Boardwalk . It felt a bit like the riverside in Guangzhou—am I just homesick? 😂 The night view by the river was nice, and it was pleasant to walk with the breeze. Day 2: Savannah Historic District City Walk After hotel breakfast, headed out for a city walk around 10 AM 🚶♂️. Passed through the Historic District and spotted a Visitor Center but didn’t go in; walked 15 minutes to Forsyth Park, took photos by the iconic fountain 📸, and explored the whole park. The ancient oak trees were stunning 🌳; Walked another 15 minutes to Jones Street, the "most beautiful street"—the houses were gorgeous, nestled among greenery like a fairy tale 🏡; Got caught in a heavy rain, had to shelter for half an hour 🌧️, then continued in light rain to Chippewa Square, the filming location of Forrest Gump. The bench was gone, but I took a photo anyway; Next, visited Leopold Ice Cream, the century-old parlor. Tried coconut and peach double scoops—so good I licked the spoon 🍦; Wandered the shopping streets, then made a beeline for Common Restaurant’s Happy Hour for $0.75 oysters! 🦪 They were fresh and non-fishy—two dozen for $18. Oyster lovers, don’t hesitate! For dinner, grabbed takeout from Eason Market (an Asian supermarket) and ate at the hotel—simple and easy. Day 3: Exploring Surrounding Parks Morning trip to Savannah Botanical Gardens , a 13-minute drive away. Small with limited plant varieties, but free —nice for a quick visit; Then drove to Wormsloe Historic Site. Tickets: $12 for adults, $5.95 for ages 6-17 🎫. The shuttle ride through the oak avenue was—400-year-old oaks towering overhead 🌳! The shuttle drops you off at the end, where you can visit the museum and historic sites. A 1-mile hiking trail is optional, or take the shuttle back. Around 3 PM, drove 30 minutes to The Crab Shack for a seafood feast. Ordered a family platter for three: snow crab, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, potatoes, corn, sausage—loaded! 🦀 Personally, it was just okay (salty, not super fresh), but the kids loved it. Next stop: Tybee Island! Follow for more updates if you’re interested 😊 #Savannah#SavannahTravel#travel#MyTravelMemories#LatestTripInAlbum
