Savannah Historic Town 2.5-Day Trip
Day 1: Strolling Along River Street Boardwalk 🏨 Arrived at our downtown historic hotel at 4:30 PM. Walked 13 mins to eTang Chinese Restaurant 🥢—food was mediocre, portions small, and overpriced. Not recommended! 🌉 After dinner, explored River Street Boardwalk . The vibe kinda reminded me of Guangzhou’s riverside… or maybe I’m just homesick? 😅 Day 2: Savannah Historic District City Walk ☕ Started with hotel breakfast, headed out around 10 AM. Passed by the Historic District (didn’t stop at the Visitor Center). 🌳 Walked 15 mins to Forsyth Park—snapped pics at the iconic fountain . The ancient oak trees draped in Spanish moss were stunning! 🌧️ Got caught in heavy rain near Jones Street (one of America’s prettiest streets 🏡). Sheltered for 30 mins before braving light rain to Chippewa Square (Pic 13)—Forrest Gump bench is gone, but still a cool photo op! 🍦 Next stop: Leopold’s Ice Cream—tried coconut + peach scoops. So creamy and delicious! 🍨 🛍️ Wandered through shopping streets before the ultimate highlight: Common Restaurant’s Happy Hour! 🦪 $0.75 oysters—fresh, plump, zero fishiness. Ate two dozen for just $18! Oyster lovers, RUN here! 🍱 Dinner was a quick takeout from Eason Market (Asian grocery) back at the hotel. Day 3: Parks & Seafood Feast 🌿 Visited Savannah Botanical Gardens —small and free, but peaceful. 🌳 Drove 13 mins to Wormsloe Historic Site The 400-year-old oak avenue took our breath away! (Pic 16) Took a shuttle to the trailhead, explored ruins and museums (~1 mile walk). 🦀 Lunch at The Crab Shack (30-min drive): Ordered a family seafood boil 🦞—snow crab, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, corn, potatoes, sausage. Honest review? A bit salty, not the freshest, but the kids loved it! 🏖️ Next stop: Tybee Island! Stay tuned for more~ 👀 #Savannah #SavannahTravel #TravelDiaries #RecentTrips #Wanderlust
