Savannah's tourist area is delightfully compact, perfect for a middle-aged warrior princess like me to explore on foot πΆββοΈ. As shown in the map later, I covered all the spots that the tour buses would take you, minus the museum visits.π ποΈ Instead, I took my time strolling through several open churches, each with its own distinct charm and fascinating stories to tell π. I indulged in some local delicacies, savoring a bowl of savory congee with shrimp and sausage at CoconutChai π², and treating myself to not one, but two scoops of ice cream from Coop π¦. And guess what? The sunset π was still hours away! As evening approached, I boarded the train π bound for Charleston. While train travel has its charms, spending over ten hours on one can leave you feeling a bit wobbly upon disembarkingβa small price to pay for the journey's joys.
