Scarolies Pasta Emporium—A Hidden Gem in Montréal ✨

Good food really does make the weekend brighter. 🌈🍝 I dragged my friends to this restaurant they'd been dying to try, located in Pointe-Claire on Montréal's West Island. We'd already eaten well at a school picnic earlier in the day and planned to go light for dinner... but their excitement was contagious, so we drove over 🚗💨. The menu featured regular dishes, daily specials, and a drinks list. 📜🍷 Since I wasn't feeling my best, I stuck to tea ☕, while my two friends happily sipped on fruity cocktails 🍹😆. Starters: 🥗 Caesar Salad – The crispy croutons were delicious, similar to Gibbys' version. Solid choice 👍 🦑 Fried Calamari – The LARGEST portion I've seen in Montréal—enough for 2-3 whole squid! 😱 The tender, bouncy squid paired perfectly with the tangy tomato sauce. 🍖 Meatballs – Well-spiced with a lovely aftertaste 👌 🌭 Sausage – A tad salty but balanced with the sides. The restaurant also served freshly baked baguettes with olive oil and vinegar—so good we devoured two before the meal (and took one home! 🥖💨). Mains (yes, we overordered—four dishes for three people, ignoring the server's advice 😅): 🦞 Lobster Pasta (Special) – The HIGHLIGHT! A whole lobster, split down the middle, with sweet, springy meat. The pasta, tossed in a rich buttery lobster sauce, was HEAVEN 🤤. Even the claw meat was juicy and bursting with sweetness 💥. 🍤 Seafood Pesto Pasta – Perfectly balanced herbs, with huge, ultra-crisp shrimp. 🍅 Seafood Tomato Pasta – Plump, non-fishy mussels stole the show (though the scallops were slightly less tender). 🥩 20oz Ribeye Steak – Grilled to medium, with uneven doneness but excellent quality—juicy and flavorful. The roasted baby potatoes and pan-fried zucchini (which tasted almost fruity! 🍈) were fantastic sides. Final Damage: $220 for three 💸. Every dish felt SUPER-SIZED—like they'd been put under a magnifying glass 🔍—with portions 50% larger than average. Verdict: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This might be the most Italian-packed Italian restaurant I've seen on the West Island 🇮🇹❤️. Post-meal, we strolled by the lakeside park, still raving about how good those shrimp were 🍤😭. 📍 Scarolies Pasta Emporium #Montreal #MontrealLife #HiddenGems #VibeyEats #SeafoodLover #MontrealFood #CanadaDining
